Navel Gazer
This original painting was inspired by a trip to my second home, Cobram (Victoria). This town is on the Murray River, on the border of NSW and Victoria. It is picturesque and surrounded by fruit farms! We stayed on a property with the most spectacular garden, including 5 huge orange trees at the back. When we first walked out, there were cockatoos EVERYWHERE eating the fruit from the ground. I know, I know.... mixed reviews on whether cockatoos are friend or foe. We consumed a lot of oranges during that trip and they tasted like sunshine.
